IZMIR ALSANCAK – LESBOS VOYAGES TRAVEL RULES
1. CHECK – IN
ü In order to travel between Izmir Alsancak and Lesbos, the validity period of the passenger passport must be at least 3 months or more as of the date of return. Even if the validity period is appropriate, entry into Greece is not allowed with passports older than 10 years.
ü Passport, Schengen or gate visa is required to travel between Izmir Alsancak and Lesbos.
ü A fee is charged per exit from passengers traveling abroad with a Republic of Turkey Passport. The fee must be paid by the passenger before the travel, from contracted banks or online.
ü The passenger must be present at the İZDENİZ Sales Office in Izmir Port to complete the check-in procedures at least 1.5 hours before the departure time in order to carry out passport and visa checks.
ü After passing through the Passport Control Point, tickets are checked at the entrance of the ship. Passengers with canceled, rescheduled or suspended tickets for any reason will not be allowed on board.
2. SITUATIONS WHICH ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EXIT ABROAD OR ENTER GREECE
ü Turkish citizens born in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are not allowed to enter the country if their passport contains the phrase TRNC along with their place of birth. For example "Nicosia - TRNC". Those with TRNC entry in their passports are not accepted to Greece.
ü The passenger must purchase the ticket with the full name written in the passport.
Name Change on the Ticket:
ü The passenger ticket issued in your name cannot be transferred, cannot be resold to anyone else and the name cannot be changed.
Ticket Return and Change:
Open Tickets:
ü The validity of the open ticket is valid until the last voyage day of the season in which it was purchased. Tickets not used by the last sailing of the season will automatically expire.
ü İZDENİZ is obliged to fulfill the scheduled voyages that it has announced and not announced the cancellation of, and undertakes to make the necessary efforts to transport passengers and baggage within a reasonable time. İZDENİZ reserves the right to change navigation schedules, continue the journey or suspend transportation in extraordinary and force majeure situations (weather conditions and sea state, port facilities being disabled, administration's voyage obstruction, strike, epidemic, etc.). If the voyage is canceled due to extraordinary or force majeure circumstances, the amount paid will be refunded to ticket holders within 30 days.
ü In case of adverse weather and sea conditions, the ship captain may change the destination port in cases where the life safety of the passengers will be endangered.
ü İZDENİZ is not responsible for accommodation, food and beverage, transportation expenses that may arise as a result of extraordinary and force majeure events arising from reasons beyond İZDENİZ's control.
ü About passengers with special conditions (allergies, illness, etc.), the İZDENİZ Sales Office in Izmir Port must be informed 48 hours before departure.
ü It is not possible to travel with pets.
ü It is possible to travel by bicycle. There are 10 bicycle spaces on the ship, and the passenger must make a reservation for his bicycle when purchasing his/her ticket. If a passenger who has not made a reservation in advance arrives with a bicycle on the day of travel, the bicycle will not be taken on board.
ü İZDENİZ does not charge any fee other than the cruise fee for the luggage that the passenger can bring to the ship. The passenger may only keep one suitcase or handbag on board during the trip.
ü Passengers should not carry breakable and perishable items, money, jewellery, precious metals, silverware, bills or other commercial valuable papers, passports and other identity documents in their luggage. İZDENİZ is not responsible for any damages or losses that may arise from keeping the items listed in this article in the luggage and cannot be claimed from İZDENİZ. İZDENİZ reserves the right to "Refuse Carriage" for items that are not accepted as baggage, in accordance with international rules. The customer's compensation provisions regarding the carrier's rejection are invalid.
ü The passenger is obliged to comply with all instructions of the captain regarding the order on the ship. If the passenger acts within the ship in a way that endangers the ship or any person or property, or prevents the ship's personnel from performing their duties, or does not comply with the instructions of the ship's personnel, or causes reasonable objections from other passengers, İZDENIZ Ship Mastership may take any measures it deems necessary to prevent the continuation of such behavior, including restraining the passenger.
ü İZDENİZ may refuse to carry passengers and baggage in the following and similar cases for security reasons or by using its discretion. If the passenger poses any risk or danger to other persons or property, İZDENİZ reserves the right to refuse transportation to any person who does not comply with İZDENİZ's instructions, refuses the security check, or has obtained a ticket in violation of applicable laws or İZDENİZ's fare schedules or rules. It is strictly prohibited to transport all kinds of flammable, explosive and radioactive etc. cargoes within the scope of the international "IMDG Code" agreement regarding the transportation of dangerous cargoes at sea. It is prohibited to transport substances that fall within the scope of dangerous cargo, firearms and ammunition, items that are breakable or perishable, or items that, in İZDENİZ's opinion, are not suitable for transportation in terms of weight and size.
ü Children under the age of 16 can only travel with a companion. According to İZDENİZ rules, the acceptance of unaccompanied children, passengers in need of assistance, pregnant women or sick people for transportation can only be subject to prior agreement and arrangements with İZDENİZ. İZDENİZ is not responsible if the passenger's health condition deteriorates during travel.
